I am going on a short pilgrimage. A delving, unearthing and prospecting pilgrimage into history, into the places and the story of Jan van Boeckel. A spontaneous idea, this journey is already providing me with rich possibilities for more understanding, such as someone with in-depth knowledge offering to accompany and guide me part of the way. All the fragments of history I gather will allow me to weave together an even more complete story and enable me to close the circle. The circle that began long ago with Jan’s decision to leave his family and fight for our freedom.
